VTAAC Membership

This page has been created by the VTAAC Membership Committee to allow members’ access to information about VTAAC.

Our Mission

VTAAC provides a forum for collaboration, engagement and sharing of resources  for individuals and organizations concerned about cancer in Vermont.

Our Purpose

VTAAC exists as a place for stakeholders to meet regularly. The Vermont State Cancer Plan guides the activities of the coalition.  VTAAC maintains a structure to select specific projects to work on and complete as a coalition. Also, members can describe what their respective organizations are doing, and coalition members may decide to contribute in some way. Results are reported back to the coalition. Sharing of information will promote cancer projects, events, services, referrals and education.

Anyone interested in reducing the burden of cancer is welcome to participate in VTAAC activities. There are no membership fees. The majority of VTAAC members represent organizations involved with cancer care in Vermont.

What are the benefits of joining? 
  • Participation: VTAAC members take action against cancer and give back to the community.
  • Knowledge: VTAAC members gain a deeper understanding about what can be done.
  • Empowerment: VTAAC members have a voice in reducing the burden of cancer for Vermonters.

Levels of Membership

We have established 3 levels of membership.

  1. Leaders: members participating on VTAAC Steering Committee plus workgroup/taskforce/committee co-chairs.
  2. Participating: members who participate in VTAAC meetings and activities.
  3. General: members who desire to stay connected usually through e-mail communications.
